Maat

Maat is an atmospheric death metal band with oriental elements. Established in 2009 in Bernau/Berlin, they have performed their brutal shows at dozens of festivals and clubs in ten countries. Maat is known for its energetic live performances with an epic atmosphere.

The band plays explosive death metal, combining fast and technical elements with narrative structures and brutality. Their music is enriched by oriental melodies and soundscapes. They draw inspiration for their lyrics and appearance from ancient oriental cultures such as Egypt and Greece.

Following one EP in 2011 and two well-received albums in 2014 and 2017, as well as over 70 shows, a new era began: In November 2024, the latest Maat album, From Origin to Decay, was released, featuring nine new, even more powerful, technical and atmospheric tracks.
